Women's Ministry

Mother's Board
Mothers' Burgess, Nevins, McCormick & Mangrum

The Department Of Women is designed to transact women’s work. It is to organize and create such work as would be beneficial and supportive to the development of the total church. Upon recommendation of the Pastor, Elder Otis McCormick, and the leading of God, Joan D. Mangrum was appointed “President /Church Mother over the Women’s Department.

In addition to requiring organizational skills and keen insight of the needs of the women’s work and general church, she must also be one who the pastor can trust to give guidance to the women ministries. And is able to act in the pastor’s absence from the church.

The major responsibility of the church mother is to help build women ministry through the utilization of auxiliaries, units, evangelism, and prayer ministry. Teaching them to be good homemakers-loving their husband and children.

Teaching the unadulterated word of God,

Evangelist Joan D. Mangrum, President of the Women’s Department

YWCC :: Mo. Joan Mangrum

The Young Women’s Christian Council is a group of women from the ages of nineteen to an indefinite age. The prime purpose of the YWCC is to gather together young women and channel their minds into productive motives of Christian endeavor. This is the training station for every facet of women’s work.. Faith in an eternal Power is a requisite for except our young women are led to God, they will be most miserable.

There is no limit to the contribution of a great organized YWCC. They are an asset to the church, the pastor, the district, the state and national work.. One of the strongest supporters of the state supervisor is the YWCC.

Prayer Ministry :: Sister Stephanie Holena

This ministry consist of a group of prayer warriors who fast and pray and have great love and passion for the church and a burden for souls.

The prayer Warriors should live a consecrated life and be able to reach God at any time. They must be able to comfort those who are in need and strengthen the week. They must have faith to believe that God answers prayer.. They must be humble, peaceful. Merriful and understanding.

The warriors conduct continual pray services and shut in to pray for the week, the church, nations and rulers, and the many problems that confront the people of God.

Usher Board :: Sister Valerie Perry

The responsibly of the usher board is unique within itself. The major concern is to meet the people at the door with a smile and reassure them that they are in the Lord’s house. See that they are properly seated and if a program or bulletin prepared, make sure that they have one. The beauty of the Lord’s house is its order and much of this will depend upon an efficient usher board. This board operates on a local, district, state and national level and should be on hand at all services, meetings and conventions.
