Welcome to the New Jerusalem Women’s Department. I certainly hope that you are blessed and experiencing the joy of the Lord. I am excited that you chose to visit our site. Let me share with you about our department now that you are here.

The Department of Women is designed to promote and strengthen the women’s ministry within the church. Monthly meetings with the women of the church are held to provide instruction about a variety of topics and to encourage fellowship amongst each other. We organize and accomplish projects that are beneficial to and supportive of the development of the total church

The Young Women’s Christian Council is a group of women from the ages of nineteen to an indefinite age. The prime purpose of the YWCC is to gather together young women and channel their minds into productive motives of Christian endeavor. This is the training station for every facet of opportunity for which women can get involved with in the church. There is no limit to the contribution of a great-organized YWCC. They are an asset to the church, the pastor, the district, the state and national work. The women of YWCC supports the church’s first lady and the women’s state supervisor.

Mother's Board

This board consists of a group of seasoned and well-informed women concerning salvation and church administration. These women teach and demonstrate community service and appreciation. The major responsibility of this group of women is to help build every auxiliary of the Women's Department in the local church. A strong church is one that is spirit-filled and well organized.

Usher Board

Our usher board is unique within itself. We love to greet the people at the door with a smile and reassure them that they are in the Lord’s house.  This usher board is excited to welcome people into our church home. They will make you feel comfortable and at home.

Hospitality

“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly…” Proverbs 18:24

Our hospitality department looks forward to opportunities to show kindness by entertaining strangers, visitors and special guests. This committee is of vital importance in the local, district, state and national church.

Nursery

If you want your child to have an enjoyable experience in a Christian atmosphere and environment visit the Nursery at New Jerusalem. The people that work in the nursery love to care for children. Don’t take our word for it come see for your self.

Kitchen Ministry

Our group of people that are a part of the Kitchen Ministry are excited about serving the Lord. They prepare food for all occasions; banquets, monthly fellowship dinners, fundraisers, youth activities, etc. Please join us if you love to cook and serve the Lord.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle is one of the original auxiliaries of the Church of God in Christ. It has served well in training women to use their hands in sewing, knitting, crocheting, etc. Many hidden talents have been discovered and it has served to help women to become better homemakers.

Sunshine Band

The Sunshine Band offers a great challenge for the women of the church to deal with the formative years of children from the ages of 5-12.  The Sunshine band is one of the oldest auxiliaries of the church and many of our “greats” came through it.  Special programs are always in order for the Sunshiners
