Welcome to New Jerusalem, one of five Northern District Churches of God in Christ. First, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our website. The Northern District and its churches are members of The Church of God in Christ (COGIC). We are located in the interior of Alaska and serve in the Alaska Jurisdiction with headquarters in Anchorage, Alaska. Our theme is “We Are Better Together” for we are stronger and can accomplish more together than we can alone. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit one of our local churches whenever you are in the Fairbanks or North Pole area. The five churches within the Northern District stand ready to assist those that are seeking freedom from oppression, deliverance from bondage, and strength for their spiritual journey. We are a community of baptized believers unified to promote the gospel of peace and show forth the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While each church seeks to fulfill its God ordained vision, we gather in love throughout the year to fellowship in a spirit charged atmosphere, breaking bread together as one, thus promoting the commonality of Christ as found in Acts 2:46-47.
It is my sincere hope that your fellowship with us will be a meaningful experience, and that you will become more familiar with those who work in the Northern District. It is my prayer that you will catch the vision which God has given me for the District and that you will commit your time and talents in support of the upward and onward movement of the Northern District Churches of God in Christ for “Together we can make it”.
