Elder Otis McCormick is the Pastor of New Jerusalem COGIC in
North Pole, Alaska. Elder McCormick is well established as a leader in the local community as well as in the International Churches of God in Christ.

Elder McCormick has served with distinction as a Regional and State Evangelist and Public Relations Director for the Alaska Jurisdiction, and was Pastor of four churches within the state. He currently is a strong promoter of men’s ministries and their roles as husbands, fathers, and leaders. He has served as President of the Fairbanks Chapter of the Kiwanis Club and is listed as a prominent leader in the field of Religion and Membership Organizations in the prestigious Who’s Who in America 2007-2008 edition.

Elder McCormick followed the leading of the Holy Spirit and began a ministry in the North Pole area, the result of which is presently New Jerusalem Church of God In Christ. He was later appointed District Superintendent for the Northern District of the Church of God In Christ, Alaska Jurisdiction. He is a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He has been married to the wife of his youth for over 52 years and strongly encourages men through his pattern to love their wives and children. Elder McCormick is a Holy Spirit led Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He knows how to lead and follow. His example to those who know him is: “Follow me as I follow Christ."


Eld. Malcolm Wright

Elder Malcolm Keith Wright was born October 7, 1960 in Ocilla, Georgia to honorable vet., Reverend Porter & Sarah Wright Jr. (deceased). He is a devoted husband to his wife Roberta and a proud father to his daughter, Nekinia and two sons, Dorian & Demetrius. Elder Wright serves as an associate minister at New Jerusalem COGIC, and he oversees the Administrative Assistants, the Outreach Ministry, the Worship Ministry, and the Men's Ministry.

Elder Wright is an honorable veteran of the United States Army, having served from May 1980 to March 1992. His community involvement has included: Director, Fairbanks Family Alternative; Board of Directors, Fairbanks Neighborhood Housing Services; Board of Directors, Southside Community Center; and, membership with the Fairbanks Neighborhood Housing Loan Committee.

 


Min. Greg Roach

Minister Greg Roach is from the Columbus, Georgia. His father is a veteran of the United States Army. He has resided in North Pole, Alaska, for the past 15 years and has attended New Jerusalem for 13 years. He is a veteran who served honorably within the United State Air Force. He is currently entering his 20th year of marriage and is a proud father of 3 beautiful children.

Minister Roach serves as Administrative Assistant, Audio/Video Team, Client Support Administrator, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee Board Member, and Youth Pastor. His community involvements include: Fairbanks Food Bank, Rescue Mission, and the Far North Archery Association

 

The New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ Board of Deacons is currently made up of four deacons and three deaconesses. Each board member is committed to God, devoted to the pastor and his vision for New Jerusalem, the members and the community of North Pole. Deacons strive for both spiritual and natural unity, stability and growth. Deacons at New Jerusalem are faithful, dependable, discreet; they are willing to serve others and enjoy working with people.
